Mumbai, June 9 — Sameera Reddy has just returned from Scotland where she was filming the action thriller, Tezz and is all shaken up, literally. The actor was doing a stunt in the Perthshire forests when the bike she was riding skidded on a sharp turn and fell over.
“There was a big truck with the crew catching the action from the front and the cinematographer on a bike with an ADV (digital incamera) riding alongside. A couple of cars were also following at top speed. I could have rammed into the truck, swerved and hit the cameraman or the guys from behind could have run me over. But God was watching out for me,” shivers Sameera, who was dragged along the ground for 10 to 15 seconds at 60 kmph before the bike came to a halt. Her right hand and shoulder was badly bruised as she hung on to the handle, but she didn’t get any scratches on her left side as she managed to swing her leg back on the seat.
“The action director who has choreographed stunts for Pierce Brosnan’s Bond adventures says my fast reflexes saved me. I’d trained for this for three months last year and not fallen once. This chase sequence was one of the last to be canned and no one had expected anything amiss. The near-fatal accident proves that when it’s action, you’re never too prepared for the worst,” she says, adding that while the deadly shots will give the audience some thrills, director Priyadarshan, after the accident, refused to let her get on the bike again.
Sameera also did some white water rafting in the film. Any spills? “None,” she retorts. “Even though I was jumping into the rapids alone I’ve never been afraid of water. I’m a strong swimmer and confident of always getting back on the shore.”
Fortunately, all the daredevilry is over and Sameera only has a glamorous song left to shoot next month. “Anil’s (Kapoor) looking really international in Tezz, Ajay’s (Devgn) is hot, I’d like to believe I’ll sizzle too.”

Shah Rukh Khan may not see DABANGG but in heart of hearts he also would be hoping that his next film RA 1 attains the same success as DABANGG. As they say, it is very difficult to keep it simple, but if it is attained, then the success just kisses your feet and this is what has happened in DABANGG.
MUMBAI: “Dabangg” producer Arbaaz Khan, who is laughing all the way to the bank, has confirmed that a sequel to the box-office hit is on.
“Yes, a sequel is definitely on the cards. And why just a sequel? The film and the main character has the potential to be carried forward through various channels,” said Arbaaz.
While other cast and crew details are yet to be finalised, “Dabangg” will roll at the year-end. And yes, it will have another item song on par with Malaika Arora’s “Munni badnaam hui”.
The sequel was on the cards from even before the release of “Dabangg” when the film’s team had sensed the oncoming mass appeal of the ruralised hero Chulbul Pandey (Salman Khan).
Salman Khan starrer Dabangg roared at the box office as it opened to a first day net collection of a whopping Rs 14.40 crore – the highest till date at the box office.
The movie directed by Abhinav Kashyap starring Salman Khan
and Sonakshi Sinha has set a new benchmark. As per official sources, the film has now created a record for earning Rs 48 crore, which is a whopping Rs 6 crore more than 3 Idiots, that had collected Rs 41 crore in the opening weekend.
Salman Khan, the hot hunk of B Town, has sure shot back into his position of being on the A list of stars, with his rocking performance in Dabangg’.
The flick, which has some very interesting plot twisting scenes, has made a distinct mark in the Bollywood scenario, where the rustic backgrounds of rural areas were almost put into the back shelves of the filmmaker’s minds.
