Why Chennai Express Will Be A Big FLOP

Poster-new-merge

Chennai Express is releasing on EID along with OUTIMA (AKSHAY KUMAR). Chennai Express is directed by Rohit Shetty and has SRK in it.

Let us analyze why Chennai Express will not be able to collect high Box office numbers:

Story: SRK and Depika bump into each other on a train station. Couple of scenes later, they fall in love but there are some confusions (Like every Rohit Shetty film). Also there are some goons who are after them for some reason.

These kinds of story only works at single screens. So it is obvious that Chennai Express will open good at Single Screen but average at multiplexes.

1st Day Expected = 14-15 Crore

Okay, it is 95% sure that Chennai Express will receive mixed to negative reviews (like with almost all Rohit Shetty films). So expect a drop in multiplex from the second day onwards.

OUTIMA has Akshay Kumar in it, who is known as KING OF MASSES, along with Salman Khan. It is obvious that OUTIMA will also open well at both Single Screens and Multiplex because it’s for both the classes and masses. This will also affect the collections of CE.

Chennai Express 2nd day Collection = 12-13.5 core

However, Chennai Express will be Not Be able to cross 100 crore Due To Big Opponent Akshay Kumar In The Form Of Don In OUATIM.

Chennai Express Lifetime Collection = Below 100 cr.Distributors Will Loose Money and The Budget Would Be Nearly 70cr.

So It Will Be Most Probably Declared Below Average But For Many It Would Be Big Flop.

Indothaitrade.com: For those who do not know you, who is Komal Gandhi?

Komal: I am very traditional and shy type of girl. I like simple things in life. Have been regretted, have been accepted, life goes on. I am far removed from the glamorous woman.

Infact when i am not working or even when i go to office, i have almost no makeup on. But i am equally amazed at how i like to see others manages to look so stylish.

Indothaitrade.com: When did you first decide that you want to be a model?

Komal: For me it was never decided or plan to be a model. While i was working in an export company, a photographer friend messaged me saying she need to update her folio with different types of faces. And after that it was never turning back for me. Those pictures were spotted by few other professional photographers and eventually few pictures taken by different photographers were published in some catalouges and websites promoting their work such as advertising for Makeup artist, new product etc…

Indothaitrade.com: Apart from your modeling, are you doing anything else?

Komal: Yes i am an Executive Reservation in Thomas Cook UK ‘Travel Agency’Indothaitrade.com: Are there any aspects of modeling you find particularly difficult?

Indothaitrade.com: Are there any aspects of modeling you find particularly difficult?

Komal: Besides Photoshoots for various products, or rampwalk, the particular difficult part comes during an audition for such as TV commercials or movie for a specific roles. There is no doubt that you have an acting skills or you have done any films or TV commercials before, but at the audition place, you meet many other actors or models or friends who are competing you.

Indothaitrade.com: Which Fashion Show was your favorite to have participated in?

Komal: During Miss India Worldwide 2012 for ‘Priscilla Bhikha’ from South Africa.

Indothaitrade.com: Does Thailand have any more Indian/Thai Indian Models? Why do you think this is the case?

Komal: Yes ofcourse. There are numerous of  indian people/models who are engaged to different modelling agencies or local agents.

Indothaitrade.com: What are some of the problems you face as a young, (Thai Indian) model?

Komal: I honestly did not face any problem as far as i was concerned that i will do only limited projects during that time. That time i was working full time in a travel agency and i hardly used to go for any shoots which was only during weekends. That time i was very new. It started moving slow and steadily.

Indothaitrade.com: What height, size and physical outlook do you think a person needs in order to break into the modeling industry?

Komal: Modelling is distinguished from other types of public performance, such as an acting, dancing or mime artist. Although the boundary is not well defined. appearing in a movie or play is almost never considered Modelling. Size, height or physical doesn’t really matter if requirement is for a movie or TV Commercials.

Indothaitrade.com: How do you keep your body structure and appearance this gorgeous?

Komal: I am not a fitness mantra really. But i try to go to the gym or do yoga at least thrice a week for an hour. Besides that i uses walking as an exercise, swimming and loves dancing.

Indothaitrade.com: Do you have any event or shows coming up which you think people should look out for ?

Komal:For this year Miss India Worldwide 2013 i tried few of my indian model friend to look out for, but something went missing and this year no No Miss India Thailand was participated. I hope we could deal and make someone succesfull to participate next year (hopefully).

Indothaitrade.com: What advice would you give to the upcoming young Thai Indian models?

Komal: Ascertain for yourself if you really want to be a part of any pageant or want to be a model or an actor and then if your heart echoes a ‘Yes’ just go for it to the full throttle. Let then nothing come in the way of you and your dreams.

imageRakesh Roshan, who is presently focussing all his energy on his upcoming film, Krrish 3, is already planning ahead. After the release of the superhero flick — which sees son Hrithik Roshan reprise his lead role — he’s toying with the idea of a sequel to Khoon Bhari Maang (KBM, 1988)

The woman-centric film, with Rekha in the lead, remains one of Rakesh’s big hits. He confirms, “Yes, there is a chance that after Krrish 3, I’ll make a sequel of KBM or something along the same line.”

Rakesh admits that it’s taken him some time to gather the confidence to revisit the genre after a long gap. “It came to my mind a while ago, but then I felt that maybe it’s a bit old and people have even come out with similar films after it. Now, I am contemplating making it,” he says.

KBM stars Rekha as a wealthy widow who is nearly killed by her lover; she then sets out to exact revenge. The film also has Kabir Bedi, Sonu Walia, Shatrughan Sinha and Kader Khan in pivotal roles.

It was one of Rakesh’s experimental films, which turned out to be a big success, critically and commercially. It was his second film as a director after Khudgarz (1987).

Veteran Hindi filmmaker Yash Chopra passed away at a hospital in Mumbai

Veteran Hindi filmmaker and ‘King of Romance’ Yash Chopra passed away at a hospital in Mumbai on Sunday.

Chopra, who celebrated his 80th birthday on September 27, had been admitted to the Lilavati hospital in Mumbai last week on account of dengue infection, hospital sources said.

Chopra, known for landmark Bollywood films such as Trishul, Deewar, Silsila, Chandni and Dil To Pagal Hai, during his career spanning over five decades, had said on his birthday last month that his upcoming film Jab Tak Hai Jaan would he his last movie as a director. The film is set to hit theatres on November 13.

Lilavati hospital spokesperson said Chopra was in the ICU for the past few days.

Chopra, 80, is survived by wife and two sons, filmmaker Aditya Chopra and actor-producer Uday Chopra.

Yash Raj Chopra was born in Lahore, now in Pakistan, on September 27, 1932. He began his career as an assistant director to his elder brother B.R. Chopra and directed his own first film Dhool Ka Phool in 1959.

The Chopra brothers made several more movies together during the late 50s and 60s.

Chopra’s first commercial as well as critical success was Waqt (1965), a multi-starrer family drama.

In 1973, Chopra founded his own production company Yash Raj Films.

Though he started out in late 50s, Chopra always had his finger on the pulse of the audience and continued to deliver blockbusters in every following decade.

His repertoire includes iconic Angry Young Man films like Trishul and Deewar, both featuring Amitabh Bachchan in central roles, but in the later years Chopra was more and more associated with the ‘romance’ genre.

Reacting to the news, filmmaker Subhash Ghai said, “Yashji was the guru of industry. He was always full of energy. He will be remembered forever.”

Director-producer Mahesh Bhatt said the “news is heart breaking.”

Porn star Sunny Leone is surely earning lots of accolades for her sweet nature and beauty. The Indo-Canadian Punjabi babe is ruling the hearts and is being showered with compliments like ‘Damn cute’, ‘innocent’.

Akashdeep Saigal appears to be most smitten and had reportedly asked Sunny to find a prospective match for him. After an extended Eid weekend, the collections for SRK’s RA.One have dropped drastically.

“Last Monday onwards, the numbers of the SRK-starrer have been falling like a landslide. This weekend saw it collect Rs 7 odd crore, but it’s not good enough to put the film into big league,”

trade expert Amod Mehra told IBNLive.com.

A distributor based in Central India told the website, “In Central India, Bodyguard collected Rs 4.30 crore in nine days, while RA.One garnered only Rs 3 crore. So how will it recover the cost for the distributor?”
Trade analyst Komal Nahta concurs with Mehra. He writes in koimoi.com: “Now that it is established that RA.One cannot touch the business of Bodyguard in India and that it will fetch more revenues than the Salman Khan starrer in the overseas circuit, the question being asked is: Is RA.One a hit or a flop? The answer is, it is neither a hit nor a flop. On an investment of Rs 135 crore of Eros International, the corporate house will stand to make a profit of Rs 25-30 crore which means a return of 20% on investment.”

Nahta told IBNLive.com: “Though the children liked it, elders didn’t.”

While Shah Rukh Khan and Eros will make money, RA.One is not a hit as some distributors lost money. Their grievances will have to be compensated,” he said, pointing out that Eros will have to make adjustments with their forthcoming Rockstar (November 11) and Desi Boyz (November 25).

Movie expert Taran Adarsh however says the movie is a success but not a big grosser. He says, “Well, the money spent on the film has been recovered thanks to the revenue generated from theatrical and non-theatrical avenues, which makes RA.One a success. But those expecting the film to be the next big grosser after 3 Idiots are sure to be disappointed. It’s not close to Bodyguard [Rs 150 cr + nett] or Dabangg [Rs 145 cr nett]. Now let’s see if the Hindi version of RA.One manages to touch/cross Ready [Rs 123 cr nett].”

Salman Khan with Sanjay Dutt who are the hosts of Bigg Boss 5

Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt, who have been behind bars, shudder at even the possibility of participating in a show that would lock them up.

Many celebrities may have been keen to be part of a reality show hosted by Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt. But the star hosts themselves wouldn’t want to be locked in the house, no matter how much money is offered to them. Says Sanjay about staying in a place with 24/7 camera surveillance, “The contestants are getting paid. But even if any one pays me R 50-100 crore, I won’t be part of it. Aur main toh bina paise ke andar gaya tha (And I landed inside without any monetary transaction).”

In the same vein, Salman pointed out, “Hum dono toh aise hi andar gaye hain. So the question of us going in the house for any money doesn’t arise.”

Jokes apart
Even though the friendly hosts of the reality show are joking about getting inside a locked house, with cameras following you night and day, one can imagine their predicament. More so because both of them have spent considerable time behind bars — Sanjay for illegal possession of arms in connection with 1993 Mumbai bomb blasts case and Salman for the black buck hunting case near Bhawad in Rajasthan in 1998.

“I pray to God that the case gets over soon and I am set free,” Dutt has been often heard saying Khan’s cases are also on in the courts of Rajasthan.

Source: http://www.in.com/news/entertainment/bigg-boss-hosts-salman-and-sanjay-are-claustrophobic-20776296-in-1.htmlBigg Boss hosts Salman and Sanjay are claustrophobic!

It’s almost a “Bachna ae haseeno” moment in the “Bigg Boss ” house this season. Thirteen beauties from different walks of life entered the fifth edition of the controversial reality show, with Bollywood villain Shakti Kapoor in tow on Sunday night. What will add “double dhamaal ” is hero Salman Khan and “khalnayak” Sanjay Dutt’s chemistry as the hosts.

The women contestants are an eclectic mix – controversial models, actresses, a wrestler, as well as a proud transgender.

The participants include – model Shraddha Sharma, who grabbed headlines for her relationship with former “Bigg Boss” contestant Raja Chaudhary; former Miss Afghanistan Vida Samadzai, who was banned in the country for wearing a bikini; Nihita Biswas, wife of “Bikini Killer” Charles Sobhraj and actress-singer Raageshwari, who has bounced back to arc lights after battling serious health problems.

Other contestants include actresses VJ Pooja Missra, Pooja Bedi, Juhi Parmar, model-actress and winner of Miss India International 2003 Shonali Nagrani, popular host Mandeep Bevli, and Rajasthani folk dancer Gulabo Sapera. Actress Mahek Chahal, who is said to be a close friend of Salman, has also joined the list.

If last year The Great Khali added muscle power to the show, this year, woman wrestler Sonika Kaliraman will be seen throwing her weight around. This is her second reality show after “Khatron Ke Khiladi”, and she is now six months pregnant.

Transgender activist Laxmi Narayan Tripathi is a highlight on the show. In the past seasons, cross dressers like Bobby Darling, designer Rohit Verma and Pakistani cross-designer Begum Nawazish Ali have made an appearance. But Tripathi, who is one of the country’s most visible LGBT community representative, hopes to make a difference in the mindsets of the general public about people of her kind.

The previous seasons saw a healthy balance between male and female participants. But this season, it’s different. There’s plenty of bird watching opportunity for the men, but for the female viewers, there’s no eyecandy.

The only male – Shakti Kapoor, is over 50. In 2005, he was stuck in controversy after a news channel aired tapes shot with hidden camera showing the actor seeking sexual favours from a journalist disguised as a Bollywood aspirant. The tapes also had Kapoor speaking about the casting couch in Bollywood and naming several big actresses, directors and producers.

It would be interesting to see if Shakti has some revelations to make on the show.

Isolated in one compact house situated in Karjat, with no connectivity and communication with the outside world, and under 24X7 surveillance, one expects to see a lot of friction and backbiting – which already began as soon as five lady contestants walked into the “Bigg Boss 5” house in the premiere episode.

Also with two star hosts – Salman and Sanjay, who are ready to give contestants a “double vaat”, the show will hopefully live up to its promise of being “bigger, bolder and louder”.
