The northeastern province of Mukdahan has held a religious ceremony as part of the release of royal funeral flower ashes into the river.
Governor Paitoon Rakprathet today presided over a merit-making ceremony in tribute to HM the late King, before leading a parade to carry the royal funeral flower ashes to the Mekong River.
A cruise ship, two high-speed boats and two marine police boats were used in the ash-floating rites. Government officials and residents then paraded the replica royal crematorium and other decorations to Si Mongkhon Tai Temple where they are currently on display.
