Taking a break from tradition to pay tribute to one of the greatest batsmen in the history of cricket, the BCCI had ‘Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar 200th Test’ embossed below the Board logo on the national team’s jersey.
The Indian team was seen sporting the new jersey in the batting great’s 200th and final Test match, which began against the West Indies here today.
Never has this been done for any cricketer in the past, even when the legendary batsman Sunil Gavaskar played his last match in Bangalore.
The commentators were also seen sporting new jackets with SRT 200 embossed on it. “New jackets arrived this morning. smart you think?” Harsha Bhogle tweeted, with the picture of the jacket.
