The Tourism Authority of Thailand has launched the Cha-Am International Kite Festival 2014. It runs through the weekend of March 8-9, 2014, at Cha Am North Beach, Cha Am, Petchburi.
At the event, over 100 sets of amazingly fancy kites from many countries, in various forms and dazzling colors, are displayed, including two sets of 12-meter high horse kites, a joyful whale, a ceaseless starfish, a long-tailed ray, a globe-fish, a big-headed turtle, an alien octopus, a frog prince, and a joyful jellyfish, all featuring an outstanding variety of colors, and all welcoming in the summer.
Children will particularly enjoy colorful cartoon kites such as Casper, Santa Clause, Panda, Penguin, Wallace, Gromit, Findus and Hein Bl?t.
Visitors can witness a stunt kite show where experts use special techniques that depend on swiftness. The stunt kite teams show a breathtaking array of movements, employing many different forms, combined with the musical rhythm of the sky, and the appearance of the extraordinary revolution kite.
Another highlight is the LED kite show with its vivid display of light splashing into the night and all of it coordinated by a talented light and sound team.
