A pleasant Sunday afternoon saw Delhiites heading to the Jaipur Polo Grounds for a charity match between the teams representing Amazing Thailand and Constance. Commander CP Sharma from Neptune foundation played host at this event, which ended with The Amazing Thailand winning the match 7-4.
Naveen Jindal, the Amazing Thailand captain, said, “Three of my horses are from Thailand. Of course, I’ll represent them on the field.” Pisan Manawapat, the Thai ambassador to India, was the chief guest, and was accompanied by his wife Wanchana. He excitedly participated in the throw-in ceremony and later told us, “This is my first polo match. I’m so glad I came here, not just for the match, but I’ve found a new place in Delhi.” You’re already an adopted Delhiite for us then, ambassador!
