After mentoring a score of Bollywood hopefuls, Salman Khan has now taken under wings his first co-star’s son to train him for Bollywood innings.
Salman Khan has promised his Maine Pyar Kiya co-star Bhagyashree to mentor her 24-year old son Abhimaanyu for a career in Bollywood.
A tabloid has quoted an insider as saying, “He was to get launched last year but the offers were not good enough. That was when Bhagyashree turned to her Maine Pyar Kiya co-star Salman Khan for help. Salman has been known to help many youngsters including Arjun Kapoor and Katrina Kaif who are stars today. Salman has promised to take Abhimaanyu under his wings and is guiding him about the do’s and don’ts of acting. The superstar has told Abhimaanyu to work out and build his body and may even launch him in one of his home productions. However, everything is being strictly kept under wraps right now.”
Bhaygashree, however, refused to divulge any details. Talking to the tabloid she said, “At this point of time we would rather remain low-key. Abhimaanyu is working hard towards his goal but it’s pointless to come into the limelight and then fade away, so let there be an appropriate time. When it is closer to his goal I will personally call you up and tell you. Just give it a little time. I haven’t spoken to anyone so far.”
Abhimaanyu who is friends with Tiger Shroff (incidentally supported by Salman), has assisted director Rohan Sippy on Dum Maaro Dum and Nautanki Salla.
The aspiring actor has also done a course from The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute and Anupam Kher’s Actor Prepares, besides taking classes in dancing and action.
Salman Khan has helped several new faces including Katrina Kaif, Sonakshi Sinha, Arjun Kapoor, Pulkit Samrat, Bilal Amrohi, Zarine Khan, Daisy Shah build a career in Bollywood.
