Ambassador Harsh Vardhan Shringla was elected Chair of the Committee of the Whole II of the 70th Session of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP) at Bangkok from 4-8 August, 2014. The Committee discussed issues pertaining to Environment and Development; Information and Communication Technology and Disaster Risk Reduction; Social Development; Statistics and Management in the Asia and Pacific Region.
