The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration confirms its readiness to play host to the Second Meeting of Governors/Mayors of ASEAN Capitals on 4-6 November 2014.
Mr. Wanlop Suwandee, Chief adviser to the Bangkok Governor, said the meeting was an opportunity for leaders of ASEAN cities and other participants from related units to share their views on the issues of city development cooperation.
He said the meeting would help bring an understanding to the public that city development plans would be better achieved with the cooperation from other regional cities as a group. The meeting is expected to delegate roles to the participating cities to take in developing the ASEAN Community in different aspects such as tourism, public disaster relief and technology development.
The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration will constantly publicize results of the meeting and bring them into concrete action before reporting their progress to the next meeting of Governors/Mayors of ASEAN Capitals. – See more at: http://thainews.prd.go.th/CenterWeb/NewsEN/NewsDetail?NT01_NewsID=WNPOL5711030010010#sthash.BmUoWjzC.dpuf
