Thailand will host the 14th International Anti-Corruption Conference, or IACC 2010, at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center in Bangkok on 10-13 November 2010. The four-day conference focuses on the theme “Restoring Trust: Global Action for Transparency.”
IACC 2010 is an interesting conference in Thailand this year. Organized jointly by the Office of the National Anti-Corruption Commission, the Ministry of Justice, and Transparency Thailand, in collaboration with Transparency International and the International Anti-Corruption Council, it aims to work out strategies to overcome the effects of corruption on human security, climate governance, natural resources, energy markets, and accountable corporate world.
There will be 1,000-1,500 participants from 135 countries. They will come from all sectors of society: public, private, and civil society organizations. Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva will preside over the opening of the conference on November 10 at 10:00 a.m. The Thai government has emphasized the policies of promoting good governance, transparency, and anti-corruption efforts.
