Salman Khan’s “Veer” hitting high at Box Office


Mumbai: Notwithstanding with the poor reviews and negative comments, Salman Khan’s “Veer” is hitting high at the box offices in India and abroad. “Veer” tore into the critics like a gladiator and earned Rs 41 crore worldwide in the first week itself!

The weekend business of “Veer” stood at Rs 32 crore in India and rs 9 crore from the overseas market. This is the highest-ever earning for a Salman Khan movie during the first week in recent years.

“Veer” starred by Salman Khan, Mithun Chakraborty, Jackie Shroff and Zarine Khan, was released on January 22, 2010. It was released with 1,300 prints in India and 236 prints abroad. “Veer” did exceptionally well in Rajasthan, Delhi, UP, Maharashtra, Bihar and Gujarat.

“Veer” is based on a plot from the nineteenth century. It is a saga of bravery, drama, action and emotion. Even though it got poor reviews from the critics and movie experts, it silenced everyone with the amazing response from the fans of Salman Khan and probably from the common viewers.

The distributor of “Veer”, Eros International confirmed that the movie is doing exceptionally well and marching ahead to earn more in the coming days. Well, it may not break the records set by Aamir Khan’s “3 Idiots”, but it will certainly delight Salman Khan, who was upset with the poor reviews of his much-awaited movie.
