The 72nd #RepublicDay2021 was celebrated by Embassy at Bangkok with usual fervour. Ambassador Suchitra Durai unfurled the national tricolour and read out #Rashtrapatiji address.
Patriotic songs were rendered by talented local Indians. The cultural programme included patriotic songs by India Women’s Club, Bihu dance by the #NorthEastIndiaAssociation, Bharatanatyam dance by Ms Bitul Sarma and poetry by Ms Ashu Khurana.
Ambassador Suchitra Durai and Amb (Retd) R. Swaminathan felicitated Mr. Gulshan Manchanda, President, #HinduSamaj and Mr. Tamilselvan of Thailand #Tamil Federation for their role in promoting Indian culture & language and contribution to welfare of Indian community during COVID19 pandemic.
