A remarkable India Tourism Event took place at the Rembrandt Hotel, with several renowned Thai Tour Operators and Companies in attendance.
The Indian Embassy took steps to shed light on the various new travel locations in India. Ambassador Nagesh Singh expressed his delight, emphasizing that India has up to 40 World Heritage sites which must be visited and appreciated. He stated that India provides a plethora of experiences to Thai tourists.
The Tourism Heads of Madhya Pradesh and Kashmir and the IATA, a major Tourism Association in India, gave outstanding online presentations to highlight new initiatives and programs and to promote India as a ‘ 365 Day Destination.’ It is worth noting that the government has announced 2023 as the ‘Visit ?? India Year.’
When conversing with some of the tour companies, one was pleased to hear of Kashmir and Ladakh’s growing popularity among Thai tourists. It was a delight to find out that, in addition to the Buddhist circuit, Thai groups had started holidaying on a Hindu temple circuit, which includes the renowned South Indian temples like Tirupati, Madurai, and Rameswaram.
It was quite remarkable to learn about the different airlines that have recently connected the two countries.
It is hoped that the ‘Visit India’ Year will be an opportunity to attract a greater number of tourists from ‘Amazing Thailand‘ to ‘Incredible India‘, with the use of more interactive Tourism sessions.
