Diamond Theft Accused Flees Court After Bail Rejection
International Arrest Warrant Issued in Bangkok Diamond Theft Case

Delhi: In a dramatic development, Shankesh Mutha, a resident of Beawar and son of Hemchandra Mutha, accused of stealing diamonds worth crores of rupees from an Indian diamond trader based in Bangkok, fled the Patiala Court premises immediately after his anticipatory bail plea was rejected.

The incident occurred on April 3 when the Patiala Court in Delhi heard the anticipatory bail application filed by Shankesh Mutha. Due to substantial evidence presented against him, the court dismissed his plea and directed Mutha to appear immediately. However, upon learning of the bail rejection, Mutha swiftly disappeared from the court premises.

Subsequently, the Patiala Court issued an arrest warrant against the accused. Mutha has now approached the Delhi High Court seeking relief, and the matter is expected to be heard in the last week of April.

Authorities are currently searching for Mutha to enforce the court’s directive.
