The “Thailand Online Mega Sale 2013” is set to commence on November 26 and will run through December 3. Over 500 websites are expected to join the online event.
Deputy Commerce Minister Nattawut Saikua has ordered the Department of Business Development (DBD) to help boost the country’s online trading as the Commerce Ministry is joining hands with the Thai e-Commerce Association in organizing the “Thailand Online Mega Sale 2013”, the first of its kind in Thailand.
According to the deputy minister, the mega online event will start on November 26 and will end on December 3, 2013. Products and services offered during the 8-day event will be up to 80 percent off, with over 500 websites joining the event. Minister Nattawut expects up to 500 million baht will be spent online during the period, adding that Thailand will be able to generate an income of 100 billion baht from online trading by next year.
