The Naga Fireball Festival, which is normally held after the Buddhist Lent, took place on Sunday by the banks of the Mekong river. The event was bustling with tourists and enthusiasts who had come to observe the famous fireballs.
The first ball of fire was reported at 6.40 pm, and a total of 42 had come into sight throughout the night, which was less than the previous night’s. Spectators cheered at the luminous light.
After the spectacle, crowds of tourists as well as locals were met with heavy traffic while returning home. The congestion held on for 4-6 hours before traffic returning to normal.
