India began their campaign with a 2-1 victory over England at the Sultan of Johor Cup under-21 hockey tournament in Malaysia on Sunday.
India got the lead in the sixth minute with a deflection by Ramandeep Singh and they maintained the lead going into the half-time.
In the second half, India got their third penalty corner which was successfully converted into a goal by Talwinder.
England tried their best with a goal through a penalty corner in the last ten minutes but the Indians ensured that they thwart any more attack by their opponents.
