Hey shubhaarambh – The song from Kai Po Che has the dhinchak traditional Gujarati beats that are perfect for a fun round of garba.
Dholi taro dhol baaje – From Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s blockbuster film Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, this garba track is picturised on Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Salman Khan. Dhol baaje is super energetic and a foot-tapping number.
Pari hoon main – Beautifully sung by Suneeta Rao, Pari hoon main is very popular with the masses and is played during Navratri celebrations every year.
O re gori – This nine minute garba song from Aap Mujhe Ache Lagne Lage stars Hrithik Roshan and Ameesha Patel and both are seen playing dandiya in this number. And so should you – O re gori offers that perfect rhythm required for a dandiya.
Yeh hai pyaar – The blue-eyed Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has the most dandiya numbers to her credit. This duet with Akshaye Khanna is from Aa Ab Laut Chale and the desi dhol beats seamlessly infused into the song make it perfect for the occasion.
Chand aaya hai – Though not very popular, this is a beautiful garba number by musical maestro A R Rahman featuring the very pretty Sonali Bendre in Dil hi dil mein.
Sabse bada tera naam – A classic garba and dandiya number from the film Suhaag, this song has a spiritual touch to it and is dedicated to Sherawali Maa. It stars Amitabh Bachchan and Rekha. With this devotional track you soak in the true spirit of the festival.
Disco dandiya – Dandiya is the flavour of the season and if you love disco this song from Love Love Love starring Aamir Khan and Juhi Chawla is the one you want to groove to.
