Thailand to host Connect Asia-Pacific Summit on November 18th

Thailand is prepared to host the Connect Asia-Pacific Summit on November 18th, aiming to uplift people’s quality of life through information and communication technology (ICT).

During the Yingluck Meets the People Program, ICT Minister Anudith Nakornthap said 800 representatives from 37 countries, both from public and private sectors in the field of ICT will gather at Impact Muang Thong Thani. He added leaders from participating countries saw the importance of communication and information development as a way to improve the people’s quality of life.

Besides, during November 19-22, the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) Telecom World 2013 will also be held at Impact. ITU Telecom World 2013 is the leading platform for strategic debate, networking and knowledge-sharing for the global ICT community. Drawing on ITU’s unique reach as the principal UN agency for ICT issues, World 2013 will bring together major stakeholders, decision-makers and thought-leaders at the highest level from public and private sectors across the entire industry ecosystem.
