BMA advises people to avoid Silom Road on Bangkok Car Free Day 2014 during September 20-22

The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration is collaborating with other 87 organizations and more than 20,000 bike users to organize Bangkok Car Free Day 2014 on Sunday, September 21st, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. This is to promote the use of public transportation, walking and biking instead of commuting by personal cars.

Therefore, Silom Road will be closed for the event. Two lanes from Sala Daeng Intersection to Silom-Narathiwas Rachanakarin Intersection will be closed on Saturday, September the 20th, from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. And all lanes on both sides of this route will be closed from September 20th to 22nd, from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Moreover, on Sunday, September 21st, there will be a bike parade starting from Sanam Luang on Thammasat University side, passing along Rachadamneon Road, Sri Ayutthaya Road, Rachaprarop Road, Rachadamri Road, until finally reaching Silom Road.
