Erawan Center: 2 people killed by clashes at protest sites so far

The Erawan Centre reports that a total of 58 people have been injured and two people died during clashes between police and anti-government protesters at various occupied sites in Bangkok

Police officers, protesters and press members have been taken to hospitals after the clash at Phan Fah Bridge.

Pol Lt Col Pongsakorn Saengklom from Bang Lamung police station in Chon Buri was reportedly killed in the confrontation. Another man, identified only as 52-year-old Supoj Boonrung, also died during the clash from head injuries.

The Director of the Centre for Maintaining Peace and Order Chalerm Yubamrung, earlier said the police operation to reclaim sites occupied by the People’s Democratic Reform Committee protesters will continue until all areas are cleared of demonstrators.
