Indian people will soon be able to avail the luxury of Thai massage parlours. A barter proposal is being discussed at the highest level, according to which Thailand will set up its famous massage parlour in India in return of yoga.
The proposal is being considered under Free Trade Agreement (FTA). The agreement will provide duty-free services in India.
As per the FTA agreement, the Thai operators will be able take home the entire money earned, without any tax deduction. In return, India will be allowed to set up yoga parlours in India.
The ties between India and Thailand goes back all the way to 2004, when both the countries signed the FTA.
As per the agreement, duties on import of 82 items was abolished.
The move is expected to boost tourism industry in India. The government will ensure that only genuine spas and massage parlours come in.
However, many argue the success of Indian yoga parlours in Thailand.
