NEW DELHI: US President Barack Obama on Monday said that the US would support India’s bid to become a permanent member of the United Nations Security Council.
Barack Obama made this announcement during his address to the joint session of Parliament.
Obama paid rich tributes to Mahatma Gandhi. “I would have not been standing here as President of the United States but for Gandhi’s message to humanity.”
Instead of resisting global economy, India became one of its growth engines, added Obama.
