Obama in India today; first stop at Taj Hotel to meet 26/11 survivors

American President Barack Obama is on his way to India. In a couple of hours along with wife Michelle, Obama will land in Mumbai.

The President’s plane Air Force One is expected to touchdown at 12:50 pm at the Mumbai airport.

Obama will head for the Taj Hotel soon after landing, where he will meet the survivors of the 26/11 attacks.

Mumbai has been converted into a virtual fortress. Security has been tightened to unprecedented levels. Corporate Affairs minister Salman Khurshid will lead the Indian team to receive the US President, and putting controversy to rest, Maharashtra Chief Minister Ashok Chavan has told NDTV that he will also be present at the airport to receive Obama.
