Trang has invited Buddhists to observe a Buddhism Promotion Week, being celebrated from February 10th to 14th at all community temples.
Mr. Somsak Parisuttho Hemthanont, Governor of Trang, said this year Makha Bucha Day falls on February14th and the Ministry of Culture and Religious Affairs Department have scheduled the Buddhism Promotion Week to incorporate the Makha Bucha Festival throughout the province. Thai Buddhists are asked to participate in the Promotion Week Activity on the occasion of Makha Bucha Day to encourage all groups of Buddhists to complete religious tasks together. Buddhists and officials from every office are invited to undertake religious tasks at a neighboring temple and wear the white or ivory costume of meditation until February 15th, while also joining the triple circumambulation together on February 14, at Kraphang Surin Temple at 7.30 a.m. or at a neighborhood temple.
